Mojiko Retro Line
On 26-April-2009 (Sun), the Mojiko Retro Line of Heisei Chikuho Railway began operating. The tramcar trains run between Mojiko and Tanoura-futo of Japan Freight Railway (JR Freight) and other freight railway which has been already abolished. I came all the way to Kitakyushu to take on this line.

29-Apr-2009 (Wed)

JAL373 arrived at Kitakyushu Airport (KKJ) on time. I took the bus bound for Shimonokeki via Mojiko after I had early lunch. I arrived at Mojiko on 12.00, took a lot of photographs along the line, afterwards took on the 13.15 train.

There was a long long queue for day ticket, but I could directly take on the train because I reserved in advance.

The train shortly arrived at turminus after 2.1km trip.

Below are the photographs which I took on the way. If you see the left image with your left eye and see the right image with your right eye, it should be seen three-dimensionally.

Electric locomitive (EF 30) was displayed in front of the Kammon-kaikyo-mekari Station.

Afterwards I went over to Honshu through the Kammon Tunnel. This is the third time after 20 years to pass through this tunnel.

I walked up a slope and took on the Hinoyama Ropeway. The ropeway was not classfied as a railway line which I have to take on, but I always went by when I visited Shimonoseki, so I took in this time.

Below is the view from the top of the mountain.

I found a double decker bus which had been operating in London on moving to Shimonoki Staiond. My bus overtook the double decker one before arriving at the staion, so I prepared my camera as soon as my bus got in.

I hoped to take on this double decker bus after 20 year interval since I took on in London. But I gave it up becaus I had a plan to take a photograph of "The Chemical Freight" in Nippo Line.

"The Chemical Freight" which I mentioned above was "UYA" (suspension), so I could not take its photograph even I was in scheduled time.
